Brief Description
Black and white, sepia toned photograph featuring Percy Osborne and Ernest Bainbridge, Hubert Opperman and Harry Watson on board the SS 'Otranto' during the 1928 Tour de France. They are wearing white trousers, team blazers, white open necked shirts and peaked cloth caps, and are standing with hands behind their backs. Inscription, reverse, handwritten, ink, "The Australian Team/on Board the "Orantes [sic]'"; handwritten number "5". There is a small ink cross beneath the feet of the cyclist on extreme left (probably Ernest Bainbridge). [This photograph is identical to1987.1726.14.].
