Brief Description
Monochrome lithograph showing a batsman playing a back foot defensive stroke. The cricketer is wearing pads and a baggy hat. In the background is a landscape of hills, trees and a tent. Under the image is printed "John C. Anderson, del et lith. / Stannard & Dixon / BACK PLAY. / No.6 / London, Published May 1st 1860 by F. Lilliwhite[sic], Kennington Oval.". The print is mounted behind light-coloured card.
