Brief Description
Print of a lithograph, black and coloured ink on off-white paper. Entitled "RESIDENCE OF H.R.H. THE PRINCESS SOPHIA, BLACKHEATH", it is of a small group of men playing cricket on a cleared area, with women and men in coats and top hats sitting and standing around a white tent which flies a British flag. In the background is a large building with an arch in the wall around it. Immediately under image l.l. "From Nature and on Stone by W. Bligh Backer'; l.r. "Printed by C. Bellamy, Bridge Ho: Place, Newington Causeway". Writing on reverse reads "IX 4" and "22".
