Brief Description
Print, black ink with yellow colouring on off-white card. Shows a group of men spread out over a field (playing cricket?), with two large, low houses in the background, in front of which many men are standing and sitting. In the foreground are 5 men standing in knee-high grass. Printed under the image is "TANGLIN BARRACKS. SINGAPORE./ 1869-70"; with l.r., Vincent Brooks, Day & Son, Lith.'. Handwritten inscription on reverse, in black ink, reads "The property of/ J.W. GOLDMAN / Collector of Cricketana/ 787 Finchley Road/London N.W. 11/ To be returned to/ 125 High Holborn/ W C 1"; also written on reverse in pencil "11 E".
