Brief Description
Print of engraving featuring cricket match being played in an open field. Engraving titled "Teignmouth, The Den".Printed on cream paper with window mount. Features number of players dressed in light clothing and spectators in period costume. Two ships masts have been erected in the field. A small lighthouse, water and yachts are to the right with town buildings, trees and cliffs centre-left. Printed under the engraving, l.l. 'G. Towsend, del. Exeter'; l.r. 'Pubd. by H. Besley, Directory Office, South St. Exeter'. Writing on reverse reads "Sheet IX 6". 1991/2 Conservation Report notes verso inscription.
