Brief Description
Print of engraving on cream paper. Depicts a two story building with clock tower, featuring stone portico with crest of lion and unicorn atop. In the grounds a group of five boys are setting up for a game of cricket. They wear a variety of clothing, long trousers, jackets and hats. Titled : 'Pensioner's Hall, Charter House'; l.l. under image; 'Drawn by Tho. H. Shepherd/Pl 82'; l.r. under image 'Engraved by J. Rogers'; centre along edge 'Jones & Co Temple of the Muses, Finsbury Square, London, Sept. 25 1830'. Writing on reverse reads "Sheet IX 4".
