Brief Description
Coloured print in the centre of a piece of white paper with the title "INSTRUCTIONS TO UMPIRES. / 47-48. An umpire should not allow himself to be unduly influenced by appeals. / If he be in any doubt, LAW 43, "That the existing state of things shall continue," shall be followed." It features a cricket game in progress, two batswomen sweet-talking the two umpires, who have not noticed that in the background the stumps have been broken. It is signed by Chas Crombie with text on the back including "THE CHAMPAGNE OF TABLE WATERS" under a picture of a Perrier bottle. The print is clamp-mounted in a white window mount.
