Brief Description
Black print on white paper depicting a large, ornate building seen through tall trees in the foreground. People are walking along the path in the middle-ground, wearing mid-19th century clothing, including a man holding a cricket bat in the centre. Text underneath reads, in part, "NEW MEADOW BUILDINGS, CHRIST CHURCH / IN COURSE OF ERECTION". immediately below image in centre "Published by Macmillan & Co Oxford & London, Nov. 1st 186"'; l.r. "Drawn & Engraved by J.H. Le Keux Durham". Object was originally framed in black & gold frame; sticker top left corner "35"; verso 'The Parker Gallery, London' label.
