Brief Description
Pen-and-ink drawing by George du Maurier in brown ink on light-coloured paper, mounted in a clamp mount with two windows. It depicts a girl and a boy facing each other under some trees, as in conversation. The girl is wearing a long skirt and holding a tennis racquet, while the boy is in white holding a cricket bat. The panel underneath reads "An unexpected consequence / - What's your holiday task, Archy? / - Oh! the Geography of the Mediterraen! This / comes of Dizzy finding out Cyprus - Bother it!". The artist's signature is in the lower right corner of the image.
