Brief Description
Tall polished light wood baseball trophy on rhomboid-shaped base, surmounted by a gold-painted metal figurine of a man wearing a loincloth holding aloft a large plastic gold medal with the image of a baseballer hitting a ball on front and a blank cartouche on back. Gold-coloured reflective plastic plaque affixed to base is engraved with the inscription, "MAJOR LEAGUE PREMIERS / MELBOURNE". Vertical plaque on body of trophy is engraved with the inscription, "PRESIDENTS / TROPHY / VICTORIAN / BASEBALL / ASSOCIATION / SUMMER SERIES / 1968/69", below which are engraved the players', captain-coach's, batboy's, scorer's and manager's names.
