Brief Description
A copper coin, used as an admission ticket to a cricket match held at the Darnall Cricket Ground, in Darnall, England, sometime during the 1820's. Advertised as a 'Grand Match' this game would likely have had a local Yorkshire or an United Midlands team playing an All-England or Rest-of-England team. The centre of the obverse features a large 'W'. The centre of the reverse features an engraving of a playing field with bats, wickets, and a ball.
