Brief Description
Colour oil painting depicting a cricket match being played on a green field with trees and the ocean in the background. In the painting, one of the cricketers is in mid-bowling action and the batsman is ready to play a shot. Inscription on a plaque attached to the frame reads 'VILLAGE CRICKET MATCH/G.G.KILBURNE R.A./EXHIB. R.A. 1862-1893'. Artwork has been signed and dated by the artist, 'G. GOODWIN KILBURNE, 84', in the lower left hand corner. Surrounded by a wide, ornate gold coloured frame.
