Inscription on a plaque attached to the frame reads 'VILLAGE CRICKET MATCH/G.G.KILBURNE R.A./EXHIB. R.A. 1862-1893'. Artwork has been signed and dated by the artist, 'G. GOODWIN KILBURNE, 84', in the lower left hand corner. Surrounded by a wide, ornate gold coloured frame.
