Brief Description
A large, framed watercolour bust-portrait of Alfred Mynn (cricketer), wearing a brown jacket and vest, white shirt and large blue neck-tie. The picture is signed by the artist at lower right ' N. Felix June 1862'. A card plaque on the mount beneath the picture reads ALFRED MYNN, ESQ. / BY N. FELIX, / 1862. Cream oval window mount; black and gold wooden frame. The work has been archivally framed, with the paper identifying the original framer affixed to the lower reverse: THE PARKER GALLERY of London. As Alfred Mynn died in 1861, this would have been painted a year after his death. Verso there is also a white label/security label with pencilled "M90001" with large "X" through it.
