Brief Description
A large, framed watercolour bust-self-portrait by N. Felix, wearing a brown jacket and blue vest, white shirt with up-right collar and large blue neck-tie. A card plaque on the mount beneath the picture reads N. FELIX, ESQ. / A SELF PORTRAIT, / SIGNED & DATED 1848; (signature and date not visible). Off-white oval window mount; black and gold wooden frame. The work has been recently archivally reframed, with the paper identifying the original framer affixed to the lower reverse: THE PARKER GALLERY of London. Also verso white label/security label with pencilled "M90009" with large "X" through the numbers.
