All are wearing long-sleeved shirts, pants and black hats. Behind the low wall towards the left is a large building, possibly a school; a church is at right and a windmill in the background. The artwork is signed in the l.r.c. "W. Scott". Inscription printed in brown ink to card panel affixed to reverse of picture reads "W.SCOTT / B.1783_D.1850."
