Brief Description
Small watercolour painting in blue and brown hues, of a gentleman in cricket whites, gloves, and pads, blue tartan cap, and blue necktie, posing with left hand on hip, leaning on a bat held in his right hand. He stands in a field/ landscape setting. Signed by the artist in lower LH corner, J.C. ANDERSON, DELT. Inscription below image reads, "F.P. MILLER, ESQ". Cream windowmount, black and gold wooden frame. Small card affixed to reverse reads, "BY J.C. ANDERSON C. 1850". Piece of brown paper above reads, "A. BAER COLLECTION 1962./ NO. 70".
