Brief Description
Oil painting on board, painted in an impressionistic style, using a muted pastel colour palette. Image shows a cricket match in the foreground with townscape beyond showing houses, a church and a train crossing a viaduct. Handwritten signature in the lower left hand corner reads ALLENSON and on the reverse in pen reads "Anthony Baer Collection/ c.1958/no. 26/(signed) Anthony Baer". There is also verso a white label with "38" in black pen.
