Brief Description
Oil portrait on canvas of a man [Ramsay Mailer] seated in a wooden chair wearing a dark grey three piece suit, white shirt, tie and green socks. He is cross legged and is holding an open book in his lap. To the left, a round side table is positioned on which a vase and two books rests. A light brown curtain provides the backdrop. Artist signature upper centre - Charles Wheeler. The wood frame with a raised composite edge is painted gold, and a plaque affixed to the lower edge reads "DR RAMSAY MAILER / PRESIDENT 1941-1944 / Artist: Charles Wheeler".
