Brief Description
Pair of cricket batting gloves, used by Matthews when making his first century on the MCG on 26/12/85 against India. Cream padded leather with red leather detailing on knuckles and red cotton inserts around fingers. The wrist is held together by velcro. The back of the glove is signed by GREG MATTHEWS (Australian cricketer) in blue ink. The maker's label is sewn onto the back and reads SYMONDS. (glove inners are M7098).
