Brief Description
Black and white photograph, sepia toned, featuring Ernie Milliken with Wally 'Hefty' Stuart at the finish of the London to Brighton Tandem Race. They are seated on their cycles assisted by an official and looking straight into the camera. They are wearing tight fitting dark shirt and pants. Inscription, reverse, handwritten in ink, "Finish of London Brighton / Tandem record taken / at the 14th mile stone / breaking previous records / by 11 minutes & actually / riding the fastest 100 / miles out & home in / the world".
