Brief Description
Cricketers' woven cloth belt, navy with 2 thin stripes along each side. Rectangular brass buckle has 2 clasps, 1 at either end. Left side features raised figure of a batsman beside two flags, wickets and a ball. Monogram on flags reads "UAE / MCC. Metal adjustment loop in centre of belt and second part of metal buckle at opposite end features a wicket keeper. On buckle reverse, text reads "M.54.16 / EADE / LONDON"; there is also a registration mark and coded date - 19 January 1857.
