Brief Description
Black and white photograph, sepia toned, featuring Ernie Milliken posing with the other competitors of the 100 mile Colac Road Race to Melbourne on their cycles with spectators and officials. Also featured are C. Curry, S. J. Herraman, A. Ploog, W. Wickener. Inscriptions handwritten in ink on the photograph, "COLAC ROAD ...E" 1931 / SCRATCH ....ARK / COLAC - MELBOURNE ...0 MILE"; Names of four competitors are written above their heads and an arrow indicates Milliken and is linked to the inscription, "E. MILLIKEN / WORLD'S RECORD / 3 HRS 45.54 MIN / ON PRESTON STAR".
