Brief Description
White, glazed Coalport china plate produced to commemorate M. C. Cowdrey's Century of Centuries, 1951-1973. Gilt rim; blue transfer image of head-and-shoulders portrait of Cowdrey surrounded by numerous bats and stumps on which are printed his batting scores over a century, and an outer border of bails and balls. Inscription on the reverse reads M C COWDREY CBE / CENTURY OF CENTURIES / 1951-1973; stamped '2068/2500 - Limited Edition of 2500 Plates".
