Brief Description
White, glazed circular ceramic plate with gold gilt rim. Features transferred image, in olive, of Don Bradman (cricketer). Surrounding him are numerous bats and stumps, with his batting scores over a century printed inside, and an outer border of bails and balls. Inscription on the reverse reads SIR DONALD BRADMAN A.C. / CENTURY OF CENTURIES / 1927-1947; stamped 'Edition Limited to 500 plates'.

This plate originally commissioned in England by John McKenzie and sold for £27.50 in 1979. The image was drawn by John T. Kenney and appeared on the inside cover of Bertram J. Wakley’s book, ‘Bradman The Great’, 1960 Sportsman’s Book Club edition.
