Brief Description
Twelve blocks of wood screwed together to form a large printing block. Features an engraving of the Cambridgeshire cricketer Robert Pearson Carpenter, posing with a bat. Engraver's name features, in reverse, at lower left corner. White sticker stuck to back has inscribed in blue biro "Carpenter". Also verso 1987 Christie's auction sticker "Lot 397/2".
