Brief Description
Six blocks of wood screwed together to form a large printing block. Features an engraving of the Nottinghamshire cricketer Richard Daft, posing with a bat and wicket in front of a country house or pavilion. Engravers name features, in reverse, at lower left corner. Additional engraving on base edge of block features an address "12 Red Lion Ct. Fleet St." and a name "T.I. Lawrence" who made the wood block for the engraver. Verso is a 1987 Christie's auction sticker "Lot 394/2"
