Unsigned and undated handwritten note. It reads, "Original model of wicket covers introduced / 1926. / Invented and patented by / Mr SC Packer. Leicester / and throughout the / counties. / With photograph of the entire cover / (whole wicket) in action on the Leicester / County ground Sat May 1st 1926. First time / used in an Australian match when it rained / all day. No play. Shewing (sic.) hose pipes / carrying away rain water etc etc".
