Brief Description
Large, dark, polished, convex wood shield in quarterly divisions, featuring at top a tarnished tin relief plaque in the form of a flowing banner reading VICTORIAN / CRICKET ASSOCIATION, and at centre, a tarnished tin plate engraved with PREMIERSHIP / SEASON 1948 - 49 / WON BY / MELBOURNE, surrounded by a large, high-relief, carved, dark wood, stylised wreath. Tape affixed to back.
