Large polished cherrywood shield featuring three tin devices, the top one a flowing banner with the gold blazon reading 1ST. XI PREMIERS; the middle embossed with the blazon WON BY / MELBOURNE / CRICKET CLUB / 1972-73; the bottom one reading PRESENTED / BY / VICTORIAN CRICKET ASSN. Small silver hanging device inserted in back.
