Brief Description
White bone china plate, glazed, with gold gilt rim. Features a coloured image of The Ashes urn in the centre, with the Australian and English coat-of-arms on either side. Inscription, in yellow text, reads, "CENTENARY OF THE ASHES / 1882 - 1982". Around the rim are alternating images of kangaroos and lions in yellow, white, maroon and green, and on base, the mock obituary notice that was printed in the Sporting Times in 1882.
