Brief Description
Chromolithograph group portrait of English cricketers from the year 1880. The figures are posed in a close group, all facing forwards, and wearing an assortment of clothing, with various colours and styles of shirts and jackets on display. Several figures wear blue caps with the letters "MCC" on the front, and some are carrying bats and balls and wearing pads and gloves. The name of the draughtsman is printed just below the image and underneath that is the title "FAMOUS ENGLISH CRICKETERS - 1880", and the names of the figures who appear.
