Object Detail

Brief Description
Lithograph print of a cricket match at Torquay Cricket Ground in Devon. Fifteen figures including two umpires and two batsmen are on the pitch, and groups of spectators are watching from the boundary. There is a large tree on one side, and in the centre is an ornate pavilion which has a tall, pointed roof and a staircase leading up to the second level, with a flag flying from the flagpole. The image is bordered by a thin beige line, and below is printed the title, "Torquay Cricket Ground", and details of the publisher and lithographer. Writing on reverse reads, "XIV 2".
