Brief Description
Colour engraving titled "VIEW OF THE SOUTHERN SCHOOLS & DORMITORIES / OF RUGBY SCHOOL from the Play Ground". A group of figures are playing cricket in front of a stone building which has large windows, turrets and decorative battlements. The scene is framed by trees on both sides. The names of the draughtsman and engraver are printed below the image. Under the title is printed "Published Novr. 1 1816 at 101 Strand, for R.A. Ackermann's History of Rugby School".
