Brief Description
Unframed, window-mounted, colour image reproduced from a Vanity Fair Supplement, dated 26 Aug 1897. The image depicts cricketer Kumar Shri Ranjitsinhji wearing whites and batting pads, and holding a cricket bat with his left hand which has a protective 'glove'. A facsimile of the artist's signature - Spy - is printed lower right. A piece of brown paper has been signed 'Yours truly/ Ranjitsinhji' and adhered to the image. A printed caption reads 'Ranji'.
