Brief Description
Unframed, window-mounted, colour image reproduced from a Vanity Fair Supplement dated 22 May 1902. The image is of a English County cricketer, Digby Jephson, crouching to bowl a ball underarm. The artist's signature - Spy - is lower left, and a piece of paper has been signed by the cricketer and adhered lower right. The caption - 'DLA Jephson, Surrey/ "The Lobster" - and the names of the printer, and the publisher, and the date of publication are covered by the window mount. Part of the Vanity Fair 'Men of the Day' series.
