Brief Description
Unframed, window-mounted, black and white caricature of the Earl of Chichester in top hat and overcoat, with a walking stick. A game of cricket is being played in the background. Printing above the image reads, "THE 'BRIGHTONIAN" CARTOON No. 90 / SATURDAY, DEC 1st 1883". The artist's signature, "Sea Salt" is lower left. A printed caption below the image reads, "Vincit amor patriae". A handwritten inscription in pencil above this reads, "Earl of Chichester, Lord Lieutenant of Sussex". Writing on reverse reads "Sheet VIII 3".
