Brief Description
Large circular ceramic vase with side arms. Coloured glaze throughout with initials, inscriptions and date. Vase commemorates visit of Surrey Cricket team to Royal Doulton, team members initialled the vase themselves. Around the top rim are the following initials: "C.H.; W.B.; T.R.; R.A.; W.H.L.; E.G.H.; F.S.; E.N.". Around the centre are the inscriptions: "A.O.D.S. [Admirers of Doulton Society]; May 1902". Below the centre inscriptions , around the vase are the following initials: "J.C.H. / RAZOR / W. L. Underneath the vase scratched into the ceramic the following: "894 / M.V.M. / Royal Doulton [stamp] / B.N". Label attached underneath "PG/[PC?]/297".





with inscriptions reading A.O.D.S., MAY 1902 and RAZOR.
