Brown leather helmet worn by Hubert Opperman whilst achieving a world record at the Melbourne Motordrome in 1932. It features a rounded dome, thick flat rim and punched ventilation holes. There are no straps, only the oval panels that cover the ears. Helmet lining has petal-like formation, partially laced together at the crown enabling it to sit on the head with a 'buffer' space between the lining and external wall.
