Object Detail

Brief Description
Watercolour painting of a bowler bowling round arm by Melbourne artist Herbert Woodhouse. The painting has been done on a small sheet of paper which has been stuck to a larger piece of green card. It is a pencil and ink sketch, with further details added in a brown, water colour wash. It has an inscription in pencil at its lower edge, reading, "H.J.W. / 1875 / Sam Cosstick round arm / bowler". A handwritten inscription on the back also features, but is difficult to read. Cosstick was a player for the Melbourne Cricket Club, and also for Victoria.
