Brief Description
Lithograph, colour. Printed pastel portrait of Arthur Lilley keeping behind the wicket. He has just made a stumping and one bail has flown up into the air. He is wearing whites, a blue cap with the white St. George & Dragon emblem of the English Touring Team, and wicketkeeping gloves and pads. This print is one of a series produced by A. Chevallier Tayler in 1905 titled "The Empire's Cricketers". Inscr: "A. Chevallier Tayler / 1905. / A. Lilley. / GILBT. WHITEHEAD & CO. LTD. LITH. / NEW ELTHAM, S.E.".
