Brief Description
Lithograph, colour. Printed pastel portrait of Johnny Tyldesley playing a stroke. He is wearing whites, slatted pads and a blue cap and sash. Although hidden, the cap features a red rose, emblem of Lancashire C.C.C., which Tyldesley played for. This print is one of a series produced by A. Chevallier Tayler in 1905 titled "The Empire's Cricketers". Inscr: "A. Chevallier Tayler / 1905. / J.T. Tyldesley / GILBT. WHITEHEAD & CO. LTD LITH. / NEW ELTHAM, S.E."
