Brief Description
This lithographic print depicts Lord George Hamilton who was President of the Marylebone Cricket Club in 1881. Hamilton is shown in full length profile. He is wearing a suit, top hat and a bow tie and has his hands clasped together at chest level. There is a pasted autograph at the lower left corner and a handwritten caption has been attached to the lower edge. Inscr: "VANITY FAIR. / April 5 1879. / Spy / Vincent Brooks Day & Son, Lith. / "Georgie" / [handwritten-] Believe me I'm very truly / George Hamilton / Rt Hon. LORD GEORGE HAMILTON.
