Brief Description
Handwritten note on white paper in cream window mount. The paper bears the navy blue Marylebone Cricket Club emblem with LORD'S CRICKET GROUND / LONDON. N.W. printed below and the addresses and telephone numbers to the left. The note, addressed to Hugh Trumble from Francis Lacey, is written in black ink on both sides of the paper, and is dated November 17th 1911. A purple RECEIVED stamp in the upper left corner is dated 8 JAN 1912. The inscription on the mount below reads LETTER FROM F.E. LACEY, SECRETARY / MARYLEBONE CRICKET CLUB, CONGRATULATING / HUGH TRUMBLE UPON HIS APPOINTMENT AS / SECRETARY OF THE MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB / NOVEMBER 1911.
