Brief Description
Wooden cricket bat, with spliced blade and black twine covered handle. The makers name is imprinted on the face, and handwritten on the back is text, reads, "TO VICTOR / FROM / FATHER / 25/5/35 / JOE DARLING", and below is an earlier inscription, reads, "TO JOE DARLING WITH / V. TRUMPERS COMPLIMENTS / 300 NOT OUT V SUSSEX / 29/7/99". Bat stamped with manufacturer's details, "W.G. Grenville" and "The W.G.G. / St. George / Driver / Reg. 292292". Verso stamped "Birmingham".
