Brief Description
Silk handkerchief printed with an image of the Australian cricket team that toured England in 1888. The item is attached to a fabric backing and mounted in a card frame. The handkerchief is white-coloured with a red border. Printed on to the surface is a group portrait titled "THE AUSTRALIANS / 1888", showing fourteen men arranged into three rows, wearing cricket whites, and some with striped blazers. Immediately below the portrait are printed the names of the sitters.
