Brief Description
A gold medallion featuring, on the obverse, a central roundel with a raised border, atop a cross design resting on top of a wreath device. The roundel features a relief image of a footballer running with the ball. On the reverse is the engraved inscription: THE SPORTING GLOBE FOOTBALL PLEBISCITE 1922/LEAGUE/BEST ROVER/AWARDED TO/GEO. HAINES/MELBOURNE CLUB/VOTES RECORDED/9942. Manufacturer's mark features below, however, it is poorly pressed and difficult to determine.
