Brief Description
Photograph of an eighteenth-century ceramic jug held in the V&A Museum, London. On the visible side, the jug is painted with a scene showing two figures. On the left, a man wearing breeches, long jacket and tricorn hat, has a walking stick in his left hand and with his right hand, points in the direction of a woman who is wearing a long dress with corset and holds her right arm to her chest. The figures are set in a forested landscape. Writing on reverse reads, "2158" and "4". It also includes photographers stamp, "Crown Copyright Reserved / Negative no.X1753".
