Brief Description
Black and white photograph of Lord Sheffield's XI Cricket Team, May 1885. Names of subjects handwritten on back. Players are standing and seated in three rows dressed predominately in white with a variety of caps and ties. One man is wearing a striped blazer. Three others have pads. Two have bats and gloves.The umpire is dressed in a dark suit and bowler hat with a lighter coat over top. Behind is a house with a verandah of wrought iron lacework. Potted palms stand in the curtained window ledges. Writing on reverse reads "Sheet VII 3".
