Brief Description
Perpetual trophy that consists of silver plate cup with two side handles attached to a cubed wooden base. The front of the cup has been engraved with the MCC insignia at the top and text below which reads 'MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB/Club Champion Trophy/Perpetual trophy awarded/to the best player in the First XI/throughout the season'. Attached to the wooden cubed base are three metal plaques. The plaques on the front and left are fully engraved with the names of the past recipients of the award. The plaque on the back has been engraved with the names of the most recent recipients of the award and is mostly blank. There is an engravers sticker attached to the anti-slip mat underneath the base.
