Hand-coloured etching published in newspaper with reverse side being newsprint, being pages 474 and 475 of The Illustrated London News, dated may 10, 1862. The image shows a group of picnickers in foreground watching a cricket match taking place on sportsground, with crowd surrounding. The type-written text printed below the image reads THE MATCH BETWEEN THE ALL-ENGLAND ELEVEN AND TWENTY-TWO OF THE NEW SOUTH WALES CRICKETERS. On the reverse is newsprint relating financial and horse racing details and results.
